In view of his Twitter followers, the presenter commented: “Join me on @GBNEWS
at 7pm when I speak to Andrew Neil in his new role as contributor and commentator for the channel.” (sic)
Neil’s followers were also quick to reply to the news and many took to social media to share their thoughts.
One tweeted: “I, for one, am very sad about this. But I wish both you and separately
@GBNEWS all the very best. For different reasons, you both are hugely important for British broadcasting.” (sic)
Another wrote: “Well done for being brave enough to start the channel off. It is a refreshing change to the BBC and Sky News. Time for a well-deserved rest.”
A third added: “Very sad, but I have to say that you have nurtured young talent at GB News who can now come into their own.”
