A body was found near Tower Lane, Armley this morning. The Coroner’s Office has now been notified to identify the body. West Yorkshire Police have said there are not suspicious circumstances around Ms Messenger’s disappearance.
Ms Messenger’s family have also been informed of the discovery this morning.
Ms Messenger, 33, of Armley Leeds, went missing on Sunday night.
She had last been seen at 5.30pm on Saturday.
A statement from the police said: “Police searching for missing Chloe Messenger from Leeds have found a body.
“Although formal identification is yet to be completed, the body, which was found near to Tower Lane, Armley, this morning, is believed to be Chloe.
“Her family have been informed.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and the Coroner’s Office has been notified.”
Detective Inspector James Entwistle, of Leeds District CID, previously said it was “out of character” for Chloe to go missing.
The Detective issued an urgent appeal for information over the weekend.
They said: “We are concerned for her welfare.
“We would like to hear urgently from anyone who has seen her or who has any information that could assist in tracing her.”
