Chris Eubank said the culprit was a “brazen” and ‘well-dressed” man, who ran off with his Louis Vuitton bag “like a sprinter”. The 55-year-old added he was “stunned” by the incident which was “over in seconds”.
He told the Evening Standard: “I couldn’t believe it. I was stunned. He couldn’t have known who I was because he wouldn’t have tried it.
“He was just looking at the prize.
“It was over in seconds and he was down the road like a sprinter with a baton.”
The retired boxer went on to say he didn’t chase the speedy culprit as it “was such a shock”.
The boxer reported the incident to the police. No arrests have been made so far.
Chris said the stolen £400 brown clutch bag was sentimental to him as he had owned it since 1992.
It contained personal items including a bandana he wore on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2017 and ID cards.
