Covid hotspots – THREE areas that have infection rates MORE THAN double UK average


The average UK case rate for new coronavirus cases over the past seven days currently stands at 354.6 per 100,000 people.

There are just three areas around the UK which have more than double this number: Kettering, Trafford and Barrow-in-Furness.

In Kettering, 810 new cases have been reported in the last seven days, equating to 792.5 per 100,000 people.

In Trafford, 1,863 new cases have been reported in the last seven days, equating to 784.5 per 100,000 people.

In Barrow-in-Furness, 504 new cases have been reported in the last seven days, equating to 755.3 per 100,000 people.
