Tina Brown, former editor of Vanity Fair, said that while Prince Harry has been “extraordinarily impertinent” during his interviews about the royals, the family must “find a way to choke on it”. Ms Brown accused the Prince of “lobbing these bombs”, referencing the likes of when the Queen’s grandson told an American broadcaster that he had visited the monarch recently to make sure she was “protected”.
Ms Brown told Andrew Marr on LBC: “If I was their comm strategist, I would say find a way to choke on it and live with it and try to make it happen.
“The problem they’ve got right now is great mistrust of Harry because he keeps lobbing these bombs, it never stops.
“It was the most extraordinarily impertinent thing to say, and an enraging thing to say, between any family.
“To say, ‘oh, my God, you know, you’re the one who moved away. I was the one who was with mum, you know!’
Ms Brown claimed that Prince Harry’s book deal is causing concern among the family that he will fire “another kind of massive hate bomb”.
She added: “And I think the book that he’s going to write is going to be, that’s really now become, I think, the biggest stumbling block to reunion, to reconciliation
“Because it hangs over them like this sort of Sword of Damocles. Like, what is Harry going to say in this book?
“Are we going to be in for another kind of massive hate bomb again, which is going to explode all over us?”

A friend of Prince Harry’s claimed to The Mirror the book will be an “intimate take on his feelings about his family”.
They said: “He has got lots to say about it.People think he’s keeping a low profile to respect the family, but it’s not that.
“He’s writing a book. He’s got a multi-million-pound book deal and he’s keeping a lot of his opinions for that.
“The memoir deal states that it should include personal details of personal and family arrangements.
“And it will be a really intimate take on his feelings about his family and what has gone in the breakdown of the relationship.”
