Grey’s Anatomy fans are gearing up for the start of another season of the popular long-running medical drama. The ABC show was last seen earlier this year and despite rumours surrounding the Shonda Rhimes creation coming to an end, Grey’s Anatomy was given the green light for more episodes. Now, it’s almost time to find out what the series has in store for us this time around.

Grey’s Anatomy’s latest series reached its conclusion in July this year with Someone Saved My Life Tonight.
Meredith Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo) had only just recovered from being in a Covid-coma for several weeks and yet she was ready to get back to work.
She performed a crucial lung transplant surgery on a post-Covid patient which won herself and Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) a round of applause.
Meredith then had a jokey text exchange with former colleague and friend Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh), boasting how she beat her to doing the landmark operation.

Pacific Standard time is for those across the West Coast of North America and is three hours behind Eastern Standard Time.
Therefore, Grey’s Anatomy is going to be airing the first episode of series 18 at 6pm PT.
There has been no indication of just how long the latest series is going to be.
Season 17 was shorter than others with 17 episodes, whereas series 16 had 21.
The episode count may depend on whether or not the filming schedule has gone back to normal after the disruption on the entertainment industry caused by the pandemic.
Little is known about what is to come from the next season but it will be welcoming back some familiar faces.
Actress Kate Burton will be reprising her role as Meredith’s mum Ellis Grey for a handful of episodes.
