Hightown is back for its second season on Starzplay. Season two sees the return of the former cop, Ray Abruzzo (played by James Badge Dale), who has a new string of problems in the sequel season. However, it looks as though the story is far from finished, as the star has teased the potential of a third season to Express.co.uk
Now that season two of Hightown has arrived, many fans are already turning their attention to the possibility of a third season.
While Starz has not confirmed season three, star James Badge Dales has shared his hopes for the continuation.
Co-starring in the series as former detective Ray Abruzzo, Dale’s character went through a major shift at the end of season one.
Heading into season two, Ray is in a dark place and his outlook seems to be getting worse.

As he is a complex and volatile character, Dale hopes there will be more chances to explore Ray beyond season two.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Dale explained: “I’m having a great time exploring this [character].
“Our story is not done, we’re on to something and we have the potential to tell a really meaningful yarn.”
Dale also explained how much he enjoyed making the series and working on the set with his co-stars and talent behind the camera.
What is season two about?
Coming into season two, there has been a major role reversal between Ray and Jackie Quinones (Monica Raymund).
Following the events of season one, Ray has lost his position on the force, now operating as a civilian for the first time in years.
Meanwhile, Jackie has joined the force but is still struggling with her alcoholism.
The pair will once again team up, only this time Ray is in a much darker place than he was in season one.
Dale explained: “[Ray] is not in a great place, but he might think he is on the up and up.
“It’s no secret Ray’s on a pretty downward trajectory.”
An official update on season three will likely come following the premiere of season two, with Starz looking at the commercial and critical response.
Express.co.uk will update this story when more news on season three emerges.
Hightown season 2 premieres Sunday, October 17 on STARZPLAY.
