I’m a Celebrity’s Abbie Chatfield says things are ‘totally good’ with Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico after their jungle row over her skimpy bikini
Abbie Chatfield was left feeling ‘triggered’ by I’m A Celebrity co-star Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico’s sexist remarks about her bikini in the jungle.
In an episode last week, the AFL legend insinuated The Bachelor star was ‘asking for it’ by wearing the revealing swimwear around camp.
Speaking to Who magazine on Thursday, Abbie said she was glad she called out Dipper, but assured fans things were now ‘totally good’ between the pair now.

‘I love Dip’: I’m a Celeb’s Abbie Chatfield (pictured) says things are ‘totally good’ with Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico after their jungle row over his remarks about her bikini on the show
‘I’ve been down this road before on The Bachelor when I was s**t shamed – I’m glad it was aired,’ Abbie said, referring to her racy beach romp with Matt Agnew in 2019.
Abbie went on to say: ‘I don’t want people to think it’s Abbie v Dipper. I love Dip. We did the WAP [Wet A** P***y dance] two hours after that, he messaged me afterwards.’
Abbie perfected the racy ‘WAP dance’ – a routine inspired by the Cardi B song WAP ft. Megan Thee Stallion, while spending 14 days in hotel quarantine last year.
Choosing to see the positives from her jarring jungle experience, Abbie said: ‘I think it was a great conversation starter – I’ve had so many people message me to say that calling him out on his comment made them have a discussion with their sons, dads, and other family members.’

‘He messaged me afterwards’: Abbie claimed things were mended between the pair since the scenes aired on TV last week, and she was glad the scenes aired and became a wider conversation starter for viewers
After strolling through the reality TV campsite in a cleavage-baring bikini last week, Dipper commented: ‘How do you walk around like that? How can you walk around like that? We should do a G-banger day.’
Despite Abbie, 25, insisting she was wearing her ‘most conservative togs’, Dipper wouldn’t back down and joked: ‘You’re not going out like that.’
Abbie finally confronted the retired footballer, 62, demanding an explanation, prompting Dipper to tell her it was ‘like you’re seeking attention and asking for [it]’.
‘Those words “asking for” it were quite triggering to me. It was so jarring. It was disappointing,’ she told The Daily Telegraph at the time.

Apologetic: Addressing the incident on Twitter, Dipper wrote: ‘Abby is an absolute force of nature. I shouldn’t have said what I said in camp’
After the scene aired, Abbie wrote a lengthy post on Instagram, which in part read: ‘Women are told to cover up, or risk being accused of asking for it. What “it” is may range from attention to sexual assault.’
‘While he [Dipper] didn’t *mean* anything by his comments, the notion persists.’
Dipper also addressed the incident on Twitter on Wednesday, writing: ‘Abby is an absolute force of nature. I shouldn’t have said what I said in camp.
‘I am glad we had the chance to discuss it. It was a learning moment and I am glad we could “TWERK it all out in the end”‘.
