Krispy Kreme has an answer for concurrent cookie and doughnut cravings.
The doughnut company has created two new Oreo doughnuts. The collaboration with the cookie company marks the first time in Krispy Kreme’s 84-year history it has teamed up with another brand to create a new glaze.
The new treats – the Oreo Cookie Glazed Doughnut and Oreo Cookie Over-The-Top Doughnut – are available now through April 18, the company announced Monday.
“We’ve taken everything fans love about OREO Cookies and ‘glazeifed’ it,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer, said in a statement.
While this is the first time Krispy Kreme has partnered with another brand on its glaze, the company has made doughnuts with Oreos before, including special Valentine’s Day 2018 heart pastries topped with cookie crumbs. And the next year they created a Chocolate Glazed Oreo Cookies & Kreme Doughnut as part of its limited-time Chocolate Glaze Collection.

In addition to the doughnut collaboration, there’s also a new drink: the Oreo Mocha Chiller, which is a frozen, espresso-based drink that is blended with Oreo chunks and topped with whipped cream and cookie crumbs.
The new collaboration with Oreo comes on the heels of ongoing promotions, which include free doughnuts for those who get a COVID-19 vaccine through the end of 2021, and a Monday promotion with free medium coffee and a free Original Glazed doughnut for everyone regardless of vaccine status.
The chain also has “Be Sweet Weekends” and every weekend through May 23, you can get a “Be Sweet Dozen” for $1 when you buy any dozen doughnuts.
Oreo has also had collaborations such as Lady Gaga Oreos.
