Arabella Chi claims she was told to lose weight by ruthless modelling agencies amid a ‘constant fight’ to be recognised by the fashion industry from the age of 16.
The Love Island star, 29, told how she was turned down for jobs by top designers, and was even told she would ‘walk for Chanel and Dior’ if she didn’t have such a ‘big’ bottom.
The Instagram model explained how she travelled to Milan to meet with agencies, but was told she was too ‘bottom-heavy’ for work.

She said in an interview with The Sun on Monday: ‘My hip measurement was always a measurement that modelling agencies told me I had to get down. But when they measure your hips, it’s actually your bum.
‘I used to cast for really big shows and for Fashion Week and they would always tell me, if you didn’t have a bum you’d walk for Chanel and Dior… and I’m like, I can’t do anything about it.
‘Agents used to say to me, ‘You need to lose weight in your bum’. I went to Milan, and they said, ‘You’re bottom-heavy’. So I was constantly fighting my bum!’
According to Arabella, she has now learned to love her bum and is proud of her figure.

She said it has been ‘amazing’ to see the change in cultural perceptions surrounding peachy posteriors, as she confessed that ‘I’m so glad I have a bum’.
Now the reality star plans to share the secret to maintaining a pert derrière, after recently setting up an OnlyFans account to share exclusive workout content.
The online subscription service allows it’s creators to upload X-rated footage or exclusive content to paying followers.
The interview comes after Arabella showcased her slender curves in racy red underwear from the comfort of her hotel room in Egypt on Saturday.

The reality star has been documenting her luxurious vacation for modelling work, while staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza.
Before arriving in Dubai prior to her Egypt trip, Arabella informed her social media followers that she would be travelling, and asked whether they’d like to see content online.

The ASOS star wrote: ‘I know with everything that is going on in the world at the moment that travelling should be limited but I just wanted to reach out to you guys and say the reason I am travelling.
‘And along side this I will be taking extra precautions to make sure I protect myself and most importantly others.
‘I am travelling to Dubai as I have a shoot on Thursday and I have some meetings set up with modelling agencies out there I am then going onto Egypt and working with @flat42.global & @followmetoegypt.
‘Having said that… would you guys prefer me to limit my content I post while I am away? As don’t want to affend anybody while I am away.’ (sic)
Her holiday comes amid an increasing amount of fury over many influencers and reality stars ‘bending rules’ to jet abroad, which has only been heightened after Boris Johnson announced the nation would enter a third lockdown.
Under the latest national lockdown rules, which is now in effect, holidays are banned as international travel is only permitted for a strict number of reasons such as for work.
Within the UK, domestic holidays are also banned as you must stay at home at all times except for a limited number of ‘reasonable excuses’ such as shopping for essentials or work.
The Government has said if you need to travel you should stay local – meaning avoiding travelling outside of your village, town or the part of a city where you live – and look to reduce the number of journeys you make overall.
