Matt Baker slams ‘really harsh’ Strictly judges’ comments about Rose Ayling-Ellis

Matt Baker, 43, wowed audiences when he performed on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2010. However, the star has not been too impressed with one aspect of this year’s competition so far.

Matt has opened up about who he’s backing to win on the show this year.

He shared how much he’s been enjoying Rose Ayling-Ellis’ performance with Giovanni Pernice on the show.

Although, in a chat with Radio Times, the Countryfile presenter admitted he was not impressed with how the judges had scored her.

He told the publication: “Rose Ayling-Ellis is absolutely phenomenal.

He made it all the way to the final before finishing in second place.

The couple were beaten by Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev in the final episode.

Elsewhere, Matt is returning for the second series of Our Farm in the Dales this week on More4.

He’ll once again be joined by his family for the show set on his parent’s farm in Yorkshire.

He told the Daily Express this weekend: “I never really thought I’d put my family on TV but the honest truth is I would never have done a farm series unless I was 100 per cent in control.

“And that’s what it was.

“More4 were fantastic, and the kids and my mum and dad and everybody were so involved.

“There was no script. It was just a joy to do, we put it out and people loved it.”
