Met Office issues new weather warning: Snow and ice alert across UK until tomorrow


Icy patches are expected to appear from 3pm this afternoon, continuing through to 10am Monday. It warned the adverse weather would affect “many parts of the UK”.

The Met Office said this morning: “Rain, sleet and snow clearing the south, then ice developing on some surfaces”.

The yellow ice warning covers from Portsmouth up through Birmingham and Newcastle to Edinburgh.

Hull and Norfolk are also expected to be affected.
