Mirco Nontschew dead: Motsi Mabuse pays tribute as German comedian dies aged 52


German comedian Mirco Nontschew has died at the age of 52, his family has confirmed. The popular star was well known for his skill with impersonations, having appeared in shows like LOL: Last One Laughing.

Mirco’s close friend and manager Bertram Ridel said: “We acknowledge the death of our friend and family member.

“The family asks for consideration in these difficult times.”

They shared the statement with German newspaper BLD.

He is thought to have died last week but no cause of death has been confirmed.

Comedian Tommy Krappweis wrote: “Once per broadcast, God pointed to Mirco and said, ‘You are now the funniest person in the world for 3 minutes’ (Wigald Boning).

“Have a good trip, Mirco. Make ’em laugh.”
