Marcie Warren (played by Pam Dawber) has been assisting suspended agent Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in his hunt for a serial killer in the latest season of NCIS. Unfortunately, her most recent appearance indicated her time on the CBS drama has come to an end after just two episodes in season 19.
Recurring guest star Pam Dawber seems to have left the NCIS office for the final time.
In the latest episode of the CBS procedural, Marcie decided to head out of town for a well-needed break from the action.
A popular addition to the series, Marcie was portrayed by lead star Mark Harmon’s real life wife and quickly became a fan favourite when she joined the cast in season 18.
Unfortunately, Gibbs’ hunt for an elusive killer is winding down, and it appears Marcie won’t be returning for its conclusion.

On Twitter, Robin Plate exclaimed: “LOL. Fornell called Marcy “Mindy”. LOVE #NCIS.
“A nice light moment in a dramatic, intimate scene. Love Joe Spano & Mark Harmon scenes.”
“Keep Marcie, aka Mindy, in with a recurring role,” said Carolyn Williams. “The chemistry is great.”
CBS have yet to officially confirm whether Dawber is gone for good, but Marcie’s character arc seems to have come to a close for now.
She was initially set to appear in just four episodes at the end of last season, so viewers were grateful when she made some surprise appearances at the top of season 19.
Despite her departure, some skeptical fans are still speculating she’ll return with a spectacularly dark twist in tow.
Cat Evans tweeted: “Y’all better not be making a plot twist with Marcie as the serial killer. That’s all I’m saying. Don’t you do it!”
And Dorian Kunkel said: “I have my own theory about Marcie. We haven’t seen the last of her.”
Could Marcie be the person Gibbs has been looking for this whole time? Fans will have to wait until the next episode, ‘Road to Nowhere’, to find out.
NCIS season 19 continues Mondays on CBS.
