Paul Pogba's transfer tease set to cause more unrest for Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

That came to a head late last year when Raiola alleged that Pogba was “done” at the club just hours before they were eliminated from the Champions League – which led Solskjaer to declare that he’d never speak to Raiola again.

Raiola did stoke the flames last month when he mentioned the possibility of Pogba returning to Turin.

But on this occasion, it’s Pogba who has publicly teased a move away rather than his troublesome representative.

Although he fell short of sharing his future plans, he did little to quell the possibility of a second spell at Juventus when he was asked.

Resolving Pogba’s future was never likely to be straightforward for United given the amount of discussion that has surrounded the 28-year-old for the majority of his time at the club.

Twists and turns were always likely. As recently as last week, there were reports that the return of Ronaldo had given Pogba much to ponder – and that penning fresh terms at Old Trafford wasn’t out of the question.

But Pogba’s latest comments are the last thing that Solskjaer needs ahead of a huge run of fixtures when the Premier League resumes following the international break.

And given Solskjaer’s previous reaction to comments from Raiola on Pogba’s future, he’s unlikely to be thrilled with the Frenchman’s own lax comments.
