Laura went on: “The rain that was in Scotland and Northern Ireland yesterday greets us through Wales and the Midlands.
“So cloudy skies here with patchy rain, particularly through Wales. Clear skies will develop in the north but a cooler fresher afternoon to come, maybe just 13 or 14 degrees.
“Further south, it’s a story of sunshine and the best of that warmth, 23 or 24 degrees through southern areas of England.”
Laura finished her report by saying the weekend will see weather fronts push in from the west.
