Single Alex Scott, 36, speaks out on pressure to freeze eggs as she hits out over 'stigma'

Alex Scott is currently single and isn’t in a rush to find a partner. The 36-year-old has discussed the stigma of having no children at her age and how her friends have encouraged her to freeze her eggs.

Addressing her thoughts on the procedure, she said: “It’s still something I go back and forth with.

“Sometimes, my friends put pressure on me, ‘Alex, you’re not getting any younger, you need to do this.’

“But right now, I’m loving life – so why add pressure on myself because other people are saying it’s time now to freeze your eggs?”

The former footballer wants to put an end to stigmas surrounding single women and going to therapy.

Alex has previously said she is unlucky when it comes to dating, but isn’t in a rush to find somebody.

Back in 2019, she took part on Strictly Come Dancing with professional partner Neil Jones, who was newly single at the time.

At the time, reports suggested they could be more than friends, however the dancing duo denied this.

She said: “It’s great that everyone can see how well me and Neil get on, and that we do have this great partnership and it’s not just for TV.

“But we’re not thinking anything about that. We’re together all the time training, and we’re so immersed in Strictly and doing everything for the show, so that stuff hasn’t even entered our thoughts.”

Last year, she discussed going on a date with Coronation Street star Sam Robertson.

She spilled: “I never seem to have a lot of luck on dates.

“My one date in ages was going out with Sam [Robertson], who is lovely.

“The next morning, our pictures were all over the press because someone in the restaurant had taken a photo.

“It wasn’t exactly a great start!”
