Sky broadband customers appear to be having a frustrating evening with some users complaining that the popular service is offline and not working. The tech gremlins appear to have begun at around 5pm with the issues still ongoing almost an hour later.
Down detector, which keeps an eye on tech outages across the world, is showing over 1,800 reports of users struggling to get online with the outage appearing to be widespread across the UK.
It’s unclear what is causing the problems but Sky’s help page is currently showing no known issues with its broadband.
Although Sky seems confident that things are working, there’s plenty of chat on Twitter which shows that may not be the case.
Users are flooding to the social network to complain of the problems tonight.
One Sky customers tweeted, “No broadband in Glasgow. Can you provide a response on what is going on and an ETA for a fix?”
Whilst another said: “Internet been dropping out intermittently for last hour or so. Website not working to troubleshoot. Twitter and downdetector show UK wide issues. #skybroadband”
