SpaceX Inspiration4 splashes down safely in Atlantic marking historic all-civilian mission

The Crew Dragon capsule Resilience entered the Atlantic Ocean near Cape Canaveral, Florida on Saturday. Inspiration4, SpaceX’s all-civilian mission into orbit, was launched into space at 1am BST this Thursday from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The crew spent three days in space conducting experiments and experiencing Earth at a distance.

The world’s first space tourism flight, carrying an all-civilian crew, reportedly orbited the planet a total of 45 times.

The vacation in space cost $55 million (£40m) a ticket.
