'Thinking of him' Jo Cox charity offers support to Sir David Amess after stabbing

The spokesman tweeted:The Jo Cox Foundation is horrified to hear the news of the attack on Sir David Amess MP. We are thinking of him, his family and loved ones at this distressing time.”

Jo Cox was stabbed and shot to death days before the 2016 Brexit referendum.

Ms Cox’s husband Brendan described the stabbing of Sir David Amess as “as cowardly as it gets”.

He tweeted: “Attacking our elected representatives is an attack on democracy itself.

“There is no excuse, no justification. It is as cowardly as it gets.”
