US travel: ‘Rising’ fares for British tourists as travellers rush to book US holidays

British Airways CEO, Sean Doyle, said the news was a “historic moment”.

He added: “Our customers should now feel that the world is reopening to them and they can book their trips with confidence.”

Bayram Annakov, founder of App in the Air, told “This is the news we’ve been waiting for over the last 18 months, and we’re thrilled that our users will be able to restart transatlantic travel once again from November.

“We’re already seeing a spike in interest for flights for Thanksgiving and Christmas and anticipate a surge in bookings to come over the next few weeks.”
