Wales Covid pass is now compulsory – ‘I'll just avoid Wales’

The Welsh Covid pass shows the carrier has been fully vaccinated or has had a negative lateral flow test in the last 48 hours.

The new pass is compulsory for all adults over 18.

First Minister Mark Drakeford told ITV’s Good Morning Britain: “I am quite sure the huge bulk of people will use the lateral flow test in the correct way.”

There are also plans to make faking a negative Covid test illegal.

The Welsh pass will be required for nighclubs, indoor non-seated events of more than 500 people, outdoor non-seated events of more than 4,000 people, and any event with more than 10,000 people.
